Our client walk through process
The immigration medical exam goes through the following steps;

1. Visit our website and click on the Book An Appointment button to book a date for your physical visit to the clinic. Alternatively, you can call or email us.

2. Attend your appointment at our conveniently located clinic
Unit 205-849 Upper Wentworth Street Hamilton. Ontario L9A 5H4.

4. Provide any relevant medical history information during the appointment. Please bring a list of your medications you take.

3. Bring the necessary identification and IRCC paperwork required for the immigration medical exam. Please read the FAQ for more information

5. Undergo the required medical examinations, including clinical medical examination by the physician, blood test and Chest X-ray.

6. Pay the applicable fees if required for the medical examinations and any additional tests

8. Fill our feedback form to support and help us improve our services

7. Receive the necessary documentation for submission(depending on your type of application) to IRCC. This is usually an information sheet.
We will conclude and submit your exams within 5-10 days of your appointment.

Frequently asked questions
For your medical exam to take place you will need to bring at least one government issued photo ID with your signature, such as:
1- A valid passport or passport that has not been expired for more than 1 year, or a copy that is certified by a Canadian Visa Officer or Border agent.
2- National ID Card
3- Canadian Driver’s License
4- UN laissez-passer
5- Refugee Protection Claimant Document
6- Refugee Travel Document
Please also bring your Interim Federal Health (IFH) documents if you are a refugee.
Yes, please bring the following IRCC paperwork with you to your medical:
1- Medical Report – Client Biodata and Summary IMM1017
2- Express Entry Invitation Letter
Please note that you can still complete an Upfront Medical if you do not have the above paperwork
Please bring the following to your medical:
1- Any glasses, contact lenses or other corrective lenses you need to see clearly
2- A list of your current medications
3- Relevant reports and test results for your medical health conditions
You can still have the medical but your panel physician will counsel you on the risks and benefits of having a chest X-ray done during pregnancy. If you do not wish to have a chest x-ray done whilst pregnant, you can complete all the other parts of the exam first. Your case will be submitted after you have the required chest x-ray following the birth of your baby.
You are not required to fast before your appointment.
Urine testing has been suspended by IRCC
Your blood sample is tested for HIV, Syphilis & Creatinine. If you have certain medical conditions, additional blood tests may be done but this will be discussed with you by the Panel Physician.
You are able to have a chaperone for the full length of the exam. This can be either one of our caring staff members to help you feel comfortable through the process, or someone of your choice that you bring with you.
Our panel physicians usually submit cases within 5-10 days of your exam being done. All results are sent directly to IRCC. If you have any questions related to your immigration status following this time period, please contact IRCC directly and not our office.

In some cases IRCC may require more information (these may be further blood tests or assessments) in order to process your application. You can book a furtherance appointment with the Panel Physician who will be happy to help you. There will be additional fees associated with this(free for IFH/refugee claimants)
